In August 2023, three friends created a gentlemen's challenge, a race to climb a rather hard route. 9a in the French Grading System is equal to 5.14d in the Yosemite Decimal System. In September of 2023 when the summer was over, the three friends got to work. They began training as hard as ever, projecting, climbing, and texting about their progress, as well as their struggles and setbacks.
