Romain Compingt

Romain Compingt is the youngest graduate of the CEEA (Conservatoire europĂ©en d'Ă©criture audiovisuelle). RĂ©gis Roinsard's “Populaire”, five-time nominated at the CĂ©sar 2013, is his frist writing credit on a feature film. He then co-wrote “Divines” with director Houda Benyamina, on which he was also artistic collaborator. The film won the CamĂ©ra d'or at the 2016 Cannes Film Festival and the 2017 CĂ©sar for Best First Film.

After “Les Traducteurs” (2019), he reunites with RĂ©gis Roinsard for “En attendant Bojangles” (2021), based upon the novel of the same name. He also co-wrote the Vincent MaĂ«l Cardona's first film, “Les MagnĂ©tiques”, with was awarded the 2022 CĂ©sar for Best First feature.
