James Allen Crockett Jr.Ā is a formerĀ professional wrestlingĀ promoter. From 1973 to 1988, he ownedĀ Jim Crockett PromotionsĀ (JCP), a subsidiary of which was NWA Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling, a wrestling company affiliated with theĀ National Wrestling AllianceĀ (NWA). From 1976 to 1987, he also owned theĀ Charlotte Orioles, aĀ minor league baseballĀ team based inĀ Charlotte, North Carolina.
