Mary Queeny
An Egyptian actress, editor, and producer of Lebanese origin, Mary Queeny was born in the town of Tannourine, located in northern Lebanon, in 1916. After the death of her father, she moved to Egypt to live with her mother and sister. She began her acting career in 1929, starring in (Ghada Al-Sahraa), and continued acting until the mid-1950s. Among her films are (Look for the Woman, Magda, The Seventh Wife, and Women Without Men). In addition to acting, Mary Queeny worked as an editor during the 1930s and 1940s. She also produced a large number of films through her private production company and her husband, Ahmed Galal, including: (Son of the Nile, Dawn of a New Day, Badour, and Tomorrow Love Returns). She died in 2003 at the age of 87.
