George Weingeroff

George Weingeroff is a retired American professional wrestler, best known for his work with promotions such as ICW, Mid-South Wrestling, and Championship Wrestling from Florida during the 1970s and 1980s. He began as an amateur wrestler, became a collegiate champion, and made his professional debut in 1975.

He gained prominence in ICW, teaming with Lanny Poffo to win the United States Tag Team Championship four times. He also competed in Japan and on the U.S. independent circuit, performing under names like Sheik Hussein. He retired in 1993 but continued to make occasional appearances.

In 1993, he had a single MMA fight in Japan, which he lost. Born with a visual impairment, he regained part of his sight following surgery. He is the son of wrestling manager Saul Weingeroff and trained several future professional wrestlers.
