David Kitay
David Joseph Kitay (born October 23, 1961) is an American film composer.
One of Kitay's early film scores was for Look Who’s Talking (1989), the first of several collaborations with director Amy Heckerling. After solidifying his reputation in the teen genre with hit movies like Clueless (1995), Can’t Hardly Wait (1998), Scary Movie (2000), and Dude, Where's My Car? (2000), Kitay expanded his repertoire to include independent films, such as Ghost World (2001), Bad Santa (2003), Art School Confidential (2006) and The Darwin Awards (2006). Among other honors, Kitay has received four BMI awards, including multiple for his scores for the TV series Mad About You. In addition to scoring, Kitay has produced records for such artists as The Boxing Ghandis, Sussanah Hoffs (The Bangles) and David Baerwald. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.
