R贸is铆n Burns
English by birth, R贸is铆n Burns grew up in Liverpool, lulled by the rhythm of Merseybeat, the songs of football fans and the waves of the Irish Sea. It was while she was at Paris 1 that she made Passing Tides, a short documentary pre-bought by France 3 in partnership with Premiers Plans. The film was shown at several festivals in France and abroad. In 2021, she joined the screenwriting workshop at La F茅mis, where she began writing her first feature. At the same time, she developed her first fiction short, Wonderwall. Produced by Barberousse Films, Wonderwall won the Audience Award and the Moulin d'And茅鈥檚 Coup de Coeur Award at the C么t茅 Court festival (June 2023). It is also the winner of the CLOS residency (FIFIB 2022) and has received writing support from the 脦le-de-France region.
