Sophie Reine
Sophie Reine was born in 1972 in Paris, France. She studied the history of art at Paris 8 University, learned the film structure, and trained as a scriptwriter. She is renowned for her original vision and sense of analysis of the story line.
As soon as a project looks exciting, she puts all her energy into the service of the director, even when the editing takes place on the other side of the world. She worked in 2020 on The Eddy, a Netflix series written by Damien Chazelle and Jack Thorne, by the side of the director Alan Poul. This year, she worked for the second time with Ira Sachs on Passages (with Franz Rogowski, Ben Whishaw & Adèle Exarchopoulos), selected in the Sundance festival 2023. She worked with Michel Gondry, Laurent Cantet, Cedric Jimenez... In 2009, she won the French Oscar for editing The first day of the rest of you life, directed by Remi Bezançon.
